I was just taking my turn in a game and looking at books Imight want to steal.  One comes up with a note on it-I have never seen this book before-it's not on any of my PBS lists all of which I use heavily. It's a WL book and the note is someone's position in line. 

Is this just a glitch or are notes public now.  I hope they aren't because I use the note feature to mark my unpostables in my TBR list specifically because the notes are public.

I don't see any notes!

Mary, are you sure it was a note?  For a while I had a book on my wishlist that happened to have a yellow square printed on its cover right where the notes appear, and I kept stopping to look at it because I thought I had put a note on it!

It said note and when I clicked on it it said something like 102/May 2009-which I assumed was someone's WL position since there were over 100 wishers.  I had never seen the book before, I don't make WL notes and it wasn't on my WL.  The only thing I use notes for is for when I've ordered a book from another site, in a BOB, a deal or it's unpostable.  I use the notes for those things because only I can see them. 

I'm going to check it again and see if it's still there and if it lets me edit the note.  Odd. 

OK I was able to get rid of it by putting in my own note, saving it and then clearing it out.  Odd though.

No, I don't see any notes on your WL. Mary, maybe it was a temporary glitch?

THat what I'm thinking.  It's gone now I hope it didn't delete it for the person who made the note.  I didn't see Janelle's notes either.
