I really like this dynamic in a romance novel. Help me find some new titles where hero jealousy is present. Thanks!

What kind of books do you like to read historicals, contemporary, suspense, or paranormals?

To what degree the jealousy?

This is not a plot point that appeals to me - I've seen jealousy in real time and it can be pretty ugly at times, as is possessiveness. These things scare me because you don't know what the hero's threshold is for going over the line.

I like contemporaries, historicals and suspense but am taking a break from paranormals.

I don't mind jealous heroes if it's done in a humorous way, and the hero knows on some level that he's being a big dufus.  That said, I can't think of any in particular with that as a theme.  It's usually situational.

I'm not really looking for it as a theme per se, I just enjoy the dynamic - either there is an ex husband or another suitor or some third party involved. kwim?

The guys I come up with are: Seth from "Behind Closed Doors" by Shannon McKenna, Sam Starrett from Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series, Lisa Marie Rice's heroes, Kadan from Murder Game by Christine Feehan, a lot of Lisa Kleypas heros, Lora Leigh's heros, and if you like Harlequin Presents many of Lynne Graham's heros get jealous.

One of Lora Leigh's Nauti Boys series deals with a jealous hero. The first one I think.

There is also a Blaze romance dealing with 3 business partners, 1 female and 2 males. She is blindfolded and one of the two partners has sex with her, but she doesn't know which one. There is an element of jealousy as she tries to discover which man it was. I will see if I can find the title. It's been a while since I read it.

Dark Rider by Iris Johansen has some good jealousy scenes. The hero and heroine have a somewhat adversarial relationship and she taunts him by going around his ship half naked. (She grew up on Hawaii, has no nudity taboos.)

Lisa Kleypas heroes are always very possessive.  Jealousy is definitely a theme in Sugar Daddy.

Hmmm...I had to think about this one a bit also. I actaully went through my read shelf on goodreads to jog my memory a bit. Here's books I think I remember with heroes that struggled with jealousy for some reason or the other:

The Legend Makers by Catherine Lanigan

Castle of the Wolf by Sandra Schwab

Uncertain Magic by Laura Kinsale

Sunset Embrace by Sandra Brown
