This thread is for unpostable books that you want to offer as freebies. You can offer it as a total freebie or as a freebie with an order from your shelf. When you claim a book that is being offered, please post that you have pm'ed the member so that everyone else knows it is taken.

I have a HC copy of "The Lieutenant" by Kate Grenville. If you've read her excellent book, "The Secret River", you'll want this one too! This copy has been nibbled on by my bratty cat. She loves book corners, dunno why. This is a freebie.

I'd like to offer The Wishing Trees by John Shors as a freebie, no request necessary. It has one page that is wrinkled from water damage.

Forgot to say...PM me if you want it, please! And then post here that you've pm'ed.

I'm offering a hardcover (with no dust jacket) of "Helen of Troy" by Margaret George.  It has been chewed a bit on the top of both the front and back covers, either by a bad dog, a baby, or someone with issues.

This is a freebie.  Would fit perfectly into the Pre 500 B.C. category, or the Great Relationships category...or if you want to deflower with Ms. George...Just send me a PM.

I also have a trade paperback of "Memoirs of a Geisha"...it has some water damage but is readable.  Again, it's a freebie.

It's not Historical Fiction, but I have a copy of Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home by Rhoda Janzen. The person who gave it to me read it in the tub, so it has some "has been close to water" evidence. PM me if interested.

I have a paperback copy of Earthly Joys by Phillipa Gregory. There is some slight water damage (I took it to the pool); otherwise it is in good shape.

This is a freebie - just let me know.

I have three paperbacks that, while technicallly postable here, I'm going to offer in this thread as freebies.  They are older, yellowed pages, much loved books, obviously.

Just send me a PM if you are interested:

Island of the Swans, by Ciji Ware

In the Shadow of Midnight, by Marsha Canham

Alinor, by Roberta Gellis

I have two paperbacks past their posting life:

"Silent in the Grave" by Deanna Raybourn and Anchee Min's "Empress Orchid."  I have one non-fiction trade paperback to offer as well about life in Classical Athens, "Courtesans and Fishcakes."  Thanks!

I have an unpostable copy of The Fool's Tale by Nicole Galland if anyone would like it.  I received it from a PBS member with some water damaged pages in the beginning and at the end, but it is still very readable with no mold etc  Pm me if you want it with your mailing address.

TAKEN THANKS!
