Sorry the subject line is confusing. I'm hoping I can make clear what my problem is. For the last month the red highlighting on my PM tab on my account page has shown that I have 1 message left to read. I have refreshed, I have changed computers, dumped the cache, history, you name it. I have also hit the "show all read" tab at the bottom. Now today I have 2 showing as unread. Not accurate. It's not hurting anything but it is driving me bonkers, I can tell when I have new messages though because the red PM icon will show up by facebook and twitter icon. When that new message is read, the red PM will disappear but I stil show that one message isn't read on the PM tab. I know it's a glitch, but any idea how to get rid of it? I'm wondering if I need to contact TPTB to fix it but thought I'd ask here first in case anyone else has had the same issue. Last Edited on: 10/21/12 2:41 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Susan, Sounds like something the programmers will have to fix for you. Send in feedback to the team and they will take care of it.

Well mine will stay red awhile after I read whatever new messages I got. But it goes away eventually and it's always gone if I close PBS and come back. |

Mary S -- will do, thanks! I was thinking it had to be on PBS's end once I changed computers and it was still there. Mary L -- That's exactly what mine has done in the past well. It usually goes away. |

I don't know if this is applicable or not, but I've, in the past, accidently placed a message from my inbox on the internet, into another folder without reading it, and it would show that I still had an unread message, but I'd done everything and had nothing bolded in my inbox and like you it was driving me nuts. Then I discovered that I'd put it into another mail box, so could it be that you did this or somehow have it under another tab in your PMs? Don't know that if you've read it and deleted it from your PM file, whether it would stay in your internet inbox or not. Good luck. Pat |

I was going to say what Pat did, you could have accidently archived an unread message. |
