This book has very cute short stories that uncover a different generation. But be aware that the book itself is small with not too many pages. It would be suitable to be tucked into a gift basket or given as a small gift.

A truly funny and timeless book! It is the actual essays and memories of a ten year old schoolgirl in 1904. This little girl's writings unknowingly tell the entire town's secrets in great detail to her teacher who as you can imagine was probably shocked beyond belief. I liked the way it made me a part of early 19th century life and what it was like thru a child's eyes. One you will want read!
