What is the ONE BOOK for which you are marking days on the calendar until its release date?

What I'm talking about is a book that you expect to be something fresh from a favorite author or the next installment in a continuing story. Like waiting for the big season finale of a favorite TV series, what is that "can't wait for it" book?

For me, it's Delicious by Shayla Black. I loved Wicked Ties and Decadent. If you read Decadent, you might remember Deke's cousin Luc. Luc wants a family desperately but was sterile. Delicious is Luc's story and is due out in March 2010.

You mean aside from Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun, which I'm not convinced will ever see the light of day? Other than that, on Feb. 2, 2010, I will be high-tailing it to the nearest bookstore to buy Silver Borne, the fifth installment in Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series.

LOL, Gina! Perhaps we need another topic: "Sequels that should be"

It could include all the books that have been promised, yet never published. And we could add the books that should be written about secondary characters which have never been suggested as upcoming h/h characters...

Well, if we're being nit-picky, Meyer never really promised us Midnight Sun, she just teased us by posting half the book on her website (after getting ticked 'cause someone leaked the unfinished draft online). She claims she has since ceased working on it. :-(

Gina, I'm not a Meyer fan, but that's just mean.

Hmm. I guess it would be the next Sookie Stackhouse book which I don't think has a name or publishing date yet.

I am also very excited about Queen of Song and Souls by C.L. Wilson coming out in the next month or so.

Twelve days from now, September 22 and the release of An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon.  Not that I'm counting the hours and minutes or anything...

Mine is Shannon Butcher's Finding the Lost. I am not a Sci/fi/urban fantasy  buff so this is a unique series for me. But I loved the first book and can't wait for November to get here.

Colleen - I forgot about Luc's story.  Now that you mention it......LOL

I'm so READY to read Tempt Me at Twilight.  I devour every one of Lisa Kleypas' books and can't wait to get this one.  I would probably rush to the store to buy it except I think I'm #4 on the WL.  :)  I wasn't all that excited about Poppy's story, but after reading the first couple of chapters (someone posted an excerpt online), I'm hooked!

Oh for me it is also the Sookie Stackhouse book, which I will have to get from the library unless I can get in early on the WL. Also the next Mercy Thompson book.

Michelle, I'm actually 88 of 385 on the WL for Tempt Me at Twilight (due out 9/29). But knowing how many people buy/read/post these MMPBs, I'm hoping to have it by November. *sigh* The Book Depository has Seduce Me at Sunrise for $3.99... Gotta wonder if TMAT will be priced the same. One can only hope!

I really need to be more diligent about watching for upcoming releases. Lately, I've missed the first announcements on several "must haves.";(

I love this new feature - my eyes handle a larger font so much better......anyhooo.....

I always look forward to a new Linda Howard, far and away a major keeper author and the one author I will buy in HC; also Nora, and a new Tess Gerritsen.

Right now I'm looking forward to reading the new C. S. Harris and C. S. Graham (coming in October). And as I hadn't visited her site in ages, I didn't realize there are new Ariana Franklins out, so that's like a reverse "can't wait" to read. Does not knowing they existed count?

Echo in the Bone on September 22nd.  I've even "blocked" my calendar for the better part of the week after the 22nd to read the book.

Gail, you gotta focus, girl! ONE BOOK!

"Does not knowing they existed count?" NOPE. It's gotta be a book you can't get your book-holders on for love or money because it doesn't exist yet (ARCs not included). LOL

Can't wait for two really - the next Nalini Singh - Blaze of Memory, and Queen of Song and Souls by CL Wilson, two of my favorite series.

I'm also into the CS Harris Sebastian St. Cyr series.

Oooh, I can't wait for that Shayla Black one either!  I'm #20 on the WL for it.

I guess the newest Opal Carew, Forbidden Heat.  I'm #1 on the WL.  It's a sequel to Six which I just loved!  I don't think it's out until next year though.

NAKED EDGE by Pamela Clare   First it was April 09, then November 09 now it's due out March 2, 2010. I'm hoping it doesn't get bumped again.
