That is great! Congratulations! What are you going to do to celebrate? What is the traditional gift for 29?

My anniversary is December 10th, but we didn't celebrate at all because we both forgot about it! :-O

I've been married 18 years.

What is the traditional gift for 29?

I was curious about this so I looked it up.  Apparently there isn't a traditional gift for the 29th but the modern gift for the 29th year is new furniture.  Um...ok.  Next year is supposed to be pearls!

Congratulations!!!! 29 years. It goes  by fast doesnt it? Are you doing anything special or waiting for the big 30 next year??

My DH and I have been together going on 18 yrs this summer, but married only 14. I cant believe that much time has passed.

Thanks Guys,

Valli don't feel bad we both forgot last year and didn't realize it until my birthday in Feb.

We are going to have dinner Friday at W.A. Frosts and very lovely restaurant in the Victorian district of Cathedral Hill, verra nice.

I told W that I wanted to be some where warm next year and he said he'd buy me an electric blanket. Mr. Smartie Pants!cheeky

LOL, Letty -- though an electric blanket doesn't sound too bad to me. Anyway, congrats!! Wishing you many more years of happy togetherness.

I think the only reason my husband and I remember our anniversary is that our folks send us cards. We've been married 23 years but together for 32 years (yep -- it took us nine years to walk down the aisle -- hey, it was a long aisle.smiley)

Congratulations, Letty! 29 is an amazing achievement. My DH and I are a second marriage for each of us, working on 14....I aspire to 29!

Ah Letty! 29 years! so, that would make you, what, 39 years old??? cheeky Congratulations to you both! Your dinner plans sound wonderful. Down here, ambience for dinner means going to The White Stallion Ranch -and it's an actual working ranch!

Deb, Your  husband was probably wondering if he could handle a future of serving you coffee in bed!! All joking aside, that was very smart of you folks to wait and BE SURE! You are sure aren't you? wink

As long as he continues to bring me my morning coffee in bed...and refrains from complaining about my book hoarding habits!

Yep, Letty, that's what I thought!!!

Deb, you obviously had those marriage "prequel" years to train him right - good planning!!

Congratulations!  29 is great.  Our 20th is in May--haven't decided what we'll do for it yet.
