Well I visited with the oncologist yesterday and wanted to let you all know how things stand.  I had another echocardiogram on Monday and my heart is in great shape!  Because of that, we have decided to continue with at least 6 more months of preventative chemo once every 3 weeks as the doctor is concerned about the cancer recurring in my liver where it had migrated from the breast.  We are also changing my hormone blocker medication since the one I was on had given me lots of joint pain.  I will still have scans and mammograms etc. going forward and visits with the oncologist every 3 months.  At least with this medication I won't lose my hair again (hurray)!  All in all I've had really remarkable results and I feel really good, but tremendously bored, so I've received the okay to go back to work if I want to!  What a long way I have come from this time last year and I feel blessed by all the support and love from family and friends, including all of you here on the h/f forum.heart

Agree with Jeanne completely! Love the preventive approach ... nothing like a little proactive treatment to keep the beasties from returning. Such a great report, Cheryl. Thanks & God bless! Lots of prayers answered about this, Chickie!

Great news, Cheryl....but not surprising given the formidable and intimidating combination of your positive attitude and Thor's hammer.

Oh, that is such good news!  Thank you for letting us know, and best wishes going forward.  No setbacks allowed! (Directed to the cancer, of course, not you. ;) )

I'm so happy that things are going well for you, Cheryl!  A positive attitude is the most important thing you can have when fighting a disease.  Seriously.  Keep it up!  I wish you continued success and much joy in life!

A little late to the party here, but definitely throwing in my "Yay!" and "You go, girl!" sentiments! Amazing news!!!
