Sawyer turned 8 weeks old today and had his check-up yesterday. He's growing like a weed and already rolling from tummy to back. His pediatrician was quite surprised and pleased at how strong he is. He lifts his whole upper body up while on his tummy and then ROLL. Haha, so cute. :) He's the sweetest baby and just LOVES to smile and goo and gurgle at you. I was tickling him just the other day and he gave me a short "Heh!" so I think laughing/giggling is in our near future. He had one short bout of colic/reflux at about 3 weeks old, but I took him back to the chiropractor and after his adjustment he was back to his normal sweet self. He sleeps great at night and is on a pretty good nap/play schedule during the day. He's just the sweetest and I might possibly be head over heels in love. heart

Good morning, Mama! I love waking up to this sweet face! (See his monkey ears? hehe I love nibbling on them!)

Modeling his wool longies my dear friend knitted him. They work so great with our cloth diapers, I just love them! This was taken just this morning.

My daughter, Aubrey, sat down and started reading "The Three Little Pigs" to him this afternoon. Seriously melted my heart!!

This is the BEST way to start my day!  CUTENESS!  He's grown so much Kelly!  And Aubrey is a doll, and obviously a great big sister. smiley

Adorable...thanks for posting. And what a nice big sister. My son would have been bopping his little sister with the book! Now they seem to get along...after 18 years...largely because they don't see each other!!!

Too cute. I'm with Deb. My son (then 2 years old) did bop his sister on seeing her for the first time. Of course, she was breast-feeding and he thought she was hurting me. heart

Thanks, everyone! I feel so blessed! My 3yo son was super reluctant about Sawyer when he was first born. He wouldn't even LOOK at Sawyer and threw a fit when we told him that baby was coming home. And now he's a very protective big brother and loves to help him out and entertain him for mommy. smiley My teen is just "meh" about it, but he's busy with school, work, and friends so he's never home. I'm hoping that when Sawyer gets older and more active, my teen will spend some time with him. I feel badly that he's so much older than the littles and want him to have a strong relationship with all of them. It'll be hard with such a large age gap, I know, but I'm hoping. He's very good with the 5 and 3 year olds.
