As of today, her *review* count is 24,666. Any one care to choose a date when she'll hit 25K and see who hits closest to the mark? Not sure what I can offer for a prize for the winner. Or maybe a booby prize? I have a Fabio book that's just begging to be read. The two Savage books on Eleanor gathering dust...devil

I'm going for June 30th.

I'll guess she does another weekend of heavy reviewing and hits it by June 14. wink

Yeah -- she did have a busy weekend, didn't she???

Well, Cathy, your incentives are just mind-boggling -- I'll go with July 20th -- but if I win, you can keep the prizes for yourself. cheeky

July 11, 2011  If I win the books I will sacrifice them on the high Penmenian alter as I wear my purple robes, eat chocolate and get hammered on red wine!devilThis is a WWVD moment.

Nooooooooooooooooo! Actually those books are rather HTF without paying a pretty penny. I could always find some fool to pay for them, but I was going to stick them on Michele one of these days so she could review them devil

Actually I have an ARC of Ciji Ware's book Midnight on Julia Street (or whatever it's called). I do have to read it, but after that it can find itself a new home.

I'm thinking while the rest of us are out enjoying the fireworks, eating hamburgs, hot dogs and potato salad, Harriet will be holed up in her super secret Klausner Kave posting reviews like a mad woman.  So, July 4th for me :)

Cathy, I read her review of Jeri Westerson's Serpent in the Thorns....ack!!  It was awful!  She kept calling Jack "The Reader"...why?  Who knows?  And she said Crispin was dealing with The Lionheart.  (Helloooo...wrong Richard)

She gives me the shivers.

Vicky, you should see it when she's reviewing the latest batch of erotica books and tries to get frisky and see what goes past the censors crying

It is hilarious what she gets wrong. I think the worst example is The Swan Maiden. Geez, there's a thorough list of characters and places right at the front and she still screwed it up. How can you mess up cribbing when the stuff is right there at your fingertips?

We need more competitors and to sweeten the pot, and I've found some other books to offer. Closest to the actual date may pick ONE of the following,

Midnight on Julia Street Ciji Ware (ARC)

Whispers in the Sand Barbara Erskine (ARC)

Legacy by Susan Kay, older HB and spine is coming loose

Shadow Princess by Indu Sundaresan (HB in good condition except for some pages on the top that came into contact with over ripe pear)

Trade paperback A Breath of Snow and Ashes Diana Gabaldon

If you liked this, you might just like my contemporary romance (I could be killing my career if you hate it, I know this!!) but I have followed your reviews for a long time, and since you read two books a day - would you be willing to give mine a read? I would be happy to "gift" it to you if so - only available on the Kindle. If not, that's fine too - but no harm in asking, right? Thank you Harriet and keep up the great work!!

I don't think she needs any help killing her career.

cheeky No she doesn't.

I really should have added the link. It won't take long before the Harriet regulars pop in for this bit of entertainment.

Three reviews for her is pretty slow. Seriously, I have sat and watched on her big dump days. Just hit the refresh button and another and another and another...
