I don't see a thread for this yet, so I'll start.

I have a copy of "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton - ISBN # 9781416550556 (516 wishers as of today). Taken

I also have an older copy of "Champion" by L Christian Balling

Champion :: L. Christian Balling
ISBN-13: 294761 - ISBN-10: passport.png

This book is HC and is in excellent shape.

Thought that I would offer them here first. I would like 1 credit each or, if anyone wants both, I can do 2/1 as I will be saving on postage. If not spoken for by Friday, they will go FIFO.

Thanks!

Champion is also taken!

Linda has started getting her Georgette Heyer books from her big blog contest win. So, we have some existing - now duplicate - titles up for grabs. Offered to our HF Forum friends before we post them. Drop us a PM if you are interested ...

  • Devil's Cub, ISBN 9780373773411
  • An Infamous Army, ISBN 9781402210075
  • False Colours, ISBN 9781402210754
  • The Corinthian, ISBN 97814022-17692

Also, we have an unpostable copy of The Grand Sophy - mass market ppb with mild water damage, wavy pages, etc. - nothing disgusting, just makes it unpostable. We'll include it w/ any order - first come, first serve.

Kelly

Jeanne, what did you think of "Champion"? I have a copy, but haven't gotten around to it  yet.

Valli - I never read my copy of Champion. I had ordered a copy of Zoe Oldenbourg's Heirs of the Kingdom from a new member and she had that copy of Champion. I figured that I would order the two books from her to kind of give her a "boost" since she is new! Cripe, I still haven't read Chadwick's The Greatest Knight!! Sorry to be of no help.....frown

LOL, Jeanne! If I ever get around to reading my copy and find that it is a "must read", I'll let you know. :-)

I have a copy of Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati ISBN 0553578529-5 Wishers

This copy has some minor foxing to the edges of the pages and an approximate 1 inch tear to the front cover along the binding that has been repaired with a piece of tape.  The top corner of about 25 pages has probably water damage, looks like someone handled it with wet fingers or maybe splashed a little water on it.  The pages are tight and minimal creases to the spine.  Free with an order from my shelf.

I have

To the Tower Born by Robin Maxwell ISBN 978-0-06-058052-0 unpostable received with chewed pages from a PBS member who did not know that chewed books are not postable.  I cannot tell if chewed by human or animal.  lol  Book is definately in readable condition just not postable.  I will send as a freebie with any other.

The Pleasure Palace by Kate Emerson ISBN 978-1416583202 It is in excellent shape with no rips, tears, bends or creases..... except that the person who sent it to me wrapped it in newspaper and has some newsprint ink around the edges.  I will send as a freebie with any other.

1603 by Christopher Lee ISBN 0-7472-3408-6 Hardcover w/ dustjacket.  Some creases on DJ but in overall great condition.  I LOVED this book.  Very imformative and gave me great insight.

Mary of Nazareth by Marek Halter ISBN 978-0-307-39484-2  Not the best of Marek Halter.  A little too over the top for me....but a good, quick read.  In like new condition.

Question...is it appropriate to mention here that we have some historical fiction listed in the wishlist multiples thread (in the book bazaar) or would that be a no no?

The Lady's Slipper by Deborah Swift, ARC and a slight bend (but not a hard crease) on the front cover. Fell asleep with it on the bed, a good hard pressing between thick books should do the trick.

Damn, you gals are fast.

On my trip to England last week I was lucky enough to be near where Elizabeth Chadwick lives and she asked if we would like to meet her for dinner.  Long story short...she brought me a personalized signed copy of The Falcons of Montabard, which I already had a copy of.  Since the once she gave me is one I obviously would want to keep, I am offering my now extra copy here (ISBN 9780751532722) Please PM me by Friday morning if interested.
