New Month!

I  took a break from the horror genre to get back to some romance.

I read Give Light by Rose Christo and T.E.D. by Jayson James. Both m/m and more New Adult, T.E.D. was sort of a coming of age type story. They were both just alright to me.

I just finished plowing thru the Wild Irish series by Mari Carr.  Loved the whole thing!

Now, I'm trying to start Hillbilly Rockstar by Lorelei James.  Don't know what's up next for the ereader.

Just finished Kristin Ashley's Deacon and really liked it. It was very typical of her, so there wasn't anything IMO that you haven't read before.

I had a few dnfs - Precarious (Bella Jewel) and Where I Belong (J. Daniels).

Has anyone read a Bella Jewel book they loved, or at least really liked? I struggled through half of Precarious and then gave up. I have books 2 and 3 in the MC Sinners series but book one was just ok for me so I never went any farther. I thought Life After Taylah was ok as well. I know some people love her and I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I did finish Move the Sun (Signal Bend MC) and Ignite (RJ Lewis). I liked Move the Sun and plan to read the next in that series. I didn't think I liked Ignite (which ended in a cliffhanger) but it was interesting enough to finish. And now that I'm finished, I have to read the next one.

I read Stepbrother Dearest (Penelope Ward) and Ugly Love (Colleen Hoover). I liked them both but didn't love them as much as I expected to.

I'm wondering what Missy thought of Reaper's Stand. I'm trying to hold out because my public library got the last two ebooks of the series and I'm hoping they get this one as well.

I'm working my way through KC Wells Personal series. I'm lovin it! I was a bit nervous after having to DNF her Learning to Love series. I may revisit this one, one day though...give it another chance.

I loved Reaper's Stand!!! Can't wait for Painter to get his HEA. Been reading alot just not posting. Finished Elizabeth Hoyt's Darling Beast and LOVED it!!! Can't wait for the next one. Read Patricia Brigg's Shifting Shadows and really enjoyed being back in Mercy's world. Loved revisiting Charles and Anna. Finished the anthology In The Duke's Arms and I really enjoyed all the stories. Standouts were Grace Burrowes and Carolyn Jewel.

I just finished Roxy Harte's Sacred Secrets, which was a very slow start for me but finished strong...enough for me to want to keep reading into the series.

Next up is an old Shiloh Walker, Dreamer: Firewalker.

I read My Skylar (Penelope Ward), which I liked, and then Torture to Her Soul (JM Darhower), which was really good.

Ok so I've finally started The Hollows series. I'm having a bit of trouble with this first one though, I'm hoping it picks up soon.

Ok, so two days later and I'm still only about 100 pages into Dead Witch Walking. I should be done by now. Someone remind me why I wanted to read this series. I know it was added to my 'want' list at some point due to recs. I'm just not gettin' it so far. frown

I picked up In The Warrior's Bed by Mary Wine yesterday and could hardly put it down until I finished it.  Now, I'm on to Bedding the Enemy.  Historicals aren't usually my thing but these are quite good and readable.

Started J R Ward's Immortal, but lately have been re-reading Patricia Brigg's Mercy series...I just love her world so much. I have a ton of TBR to read and all I want to do is re-read old stuff....go figure.

Keri, I'm in the same boat, I want to re-read and not start anything new.  And now that you mention it, a re-read of Mercy sounds great!

I did just finish Thea Harrison's Night's Honor (Elder Races #7)  and I loved it  It was better than Kinked (to me) and I can't wait for Julian & Mellisande's book.  I also read The Girl Who Chased the Moon (Sarah Addison Allen), it's been on my TBR forever, and I don't know why I didn't read it sooner, I LOVE her books!

I read a dystopian type m/m, After the End by Sara York. I really enjoyed it.

Today a finished Bright Side by Kim Holden. I bawled so, so much and I loved every minute of it.

I really liked Bright Side too.

I read Lead (Stage Drive) by Kylie Scott. It was really good, and then I went back and re-read Lick, the first book in the series. Can't wait for the 4th!

Now reading Finding Eden, the second part of Mia Sheridan's Becoming Calder. These are very well written but I'm finding them a little depressing. I'm really hoping for a HEA after everything these two have gone through.

I've been reading ebooks.  Lynn LaFleur's short stories about firemen.  Today, it was an older Nicole Austin book.

Now, I'm going back to print stuff since the ereader needs to charge.  Working on Melting the Ice by Jaci Burton.  Love her sports series and I could stare at the covers for a loooooong time.

I'm reading "Four Friends" by Robyn Carr. This book is a little different than other books that I have read by her.  I have enjoyed the story.

I've been rereading some of the Dark books by Feehan. I read Dark Magic, Dark Fire, and Dark Legend. I'm about to step out of the romance genre and read Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie.

Aaaah those covers are what earned that series a place on my keeper shelf. Oh...and I haven't even read them yet. cheeky

Finished Larissa Ione's Azagoth, (it was a sweet addition to that series), Cathy Maxwell's The Bride Says No and Jill Shalvis's He's So Fine. They were all solid reads, just nothing for a DIK.
