In reviewing my wish list, I found several books with unusual positions. For example, position 6 of 5, 13 of 12, and 11 of 10. The others all were normal. Can anyone explain what this means? |

From what I could gather when it shows up for me, it means they aren't counting me so it would normally be 6 of 6, 13 of 13, etc., but if you take yourself out of the equation it comes up 6 of 5, 13 of 12, etc. Don't know if that's the answer, but it's what made sense to me. Pat |

Oh, I can come up with things it could be. 1. Did you just add them to your WL right before you looked? Maybe they were showing your correct position in the line but the wrong total (because the total number of wishers wasn't updated yet (becasue that's calculated in a different way from the database than your position is), or maybe the wrong total was cached on your browser page). 2. Maybe the list is miscounting when accounts or WL books are on hold? WL books on hold shouldn't show up in the WL count, normally, but maybe there is an as yet undiscovered issue with it? |

It happens if you are at the end of the wish list line and you put your wish on hold. Here's one where I was 9 of 9 until I put it on hold just now, which made me 9 of 8. Craft of Cooking: Notes and Recipes from a Restaurant Kitchen :: Tom Colicchio |

Thanks, Cathy, that makes sense. |

I think I have the answer! I had a WL book on hold and my position was 1 of 0. Today I performed "unhold" on this book and I am now 1 of 1!
