I have seen that Odd Thomas is not the "norm" for Dean Koontz. I tried reading Koontz yrs ago and couldnt get into it. So is Odd Thomas different, I read all the time how good this series is. Any input for me. ?

It's a wonderful series and I've recomended it to so many people who really liked it. If I read the book without knowing the author Dean Koontz would be one of my first guesses. I never thought these books were written different then his others. Take the chance and read the first one. They really are very good.

I don't agree.  I mean The Odd Thomas books are okay.  But, not my favorite Koontz books.

I think this was some of his best work. I have all of his and I love this series. I do think it's somewhat different than his others, although his writing has changed over the years. I love his earlier stuff.   JMO

I liked all of the Odd Thomas books, but the 1st. 2 were my favorites.  I suggest that you give book 1 a try.
