I just looked via Advanced Search, All Books, for a book by title "Out of Poverty", by title and author's first name, and by author "Paul Polak".  No luck with any of them.

I found it in Amazon by title.  Searched then by ISBN from Amazon.  Found it fine.

I thought the search oddities had been fixed.  But maybe not.

Have any others of you been seeing odd things like this with searching?

I did the same search and it did not come up at first because the default is posted books, once I switched the Only posted books to All Books, it came up just fine. Did you make sure the drop down at the bottom of the screen said All Books? For some reason, even if you do Search, All Books, Advanced Search, it still defaults to Only Posted.

If a book is not in the PBS system and you find the ISBN elsewhere (like Amazon) and use it to search within PBS, the book information is "grabbed" from the internet and added to PBS' database. I recall one of the R's posting this info on a recent thread but I have no idea which one.

It's quite a new book, it probably just hadn't been added yet. I sometimes can't find a brand new book listed and just wait awhile to post it.

I found the book by searching by author name only in the space at the top of the page:

http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browse_advanced.php?k=Paul+Polak&l=10&s_type=b

I think searching by ISBN can add it to the database.   They recommend this in the Help Center if you can't find a book:
