THis is a delightful story about the reunion after 17 years of two stepsisters, one who is Japanese American. It's about their catching up on each other's lives after this separation and why there was a separation. I thoroughly liked the characters in this book!

An unusual, well-written novel about the complicated relationship between two step-sisters; deals with their respective histories as well as the tenuous, fragile nature of love.I found it very poignant in tone.
