I think I'm working with newbies on the site. In one case I ordered a book and you know how the site always asks if you want to order more from a member? So I ordered another one. In a different transaction, I ordered one and found two more that interested me and I ordered them, too.

Today I got one book from each of the two transactions.....this just made me chuckle. I remember when I was new I was so excited to send books out. I'm sure this is what happened. Now I need to gently pm the folks and see about the other books. I don't want to RWAP our new friends. Wish me luck.

Are you sure they are coming from the same people? If you ordered from the book description page then it would order them from FIFO and not their shelf. Or if they cancelled one for some reason (couldn't find it, found damage) it would order it from FIFO.  Or if they let the request time out-all the books would go to different people in FIFO.

I thought about that. First two were ordered from the same person. I know that because the "Information for the Mailer" sheet was included with the book and it has both books on the list.

The other book came by itself, but I remember ordering them from a new person. I like to hang out on the beginning page and order from newcomers when I find something that I want. I want them to be excited about PBS. I've searched my Transaction Archive to see exactly what happened, but there is nothing there but completed transactions. I don't know how to get my original ordering information.  Also, on my "Books Enroute" tab, the three books are listed together saying they are coming from a single place.

Thanks for responding.

Sarah

Hmm. Odd.  Probably people who didn't realize they could save postage by shipping them together.

I had this exact same situation happen to me. Recently.

In my case, it was either an accident and the sender did something illegal to fix it. OR they intended to do something illegal the whole time. Don't know which.

But I had a two book order. Member sent me one book in a package with printed postage and DC. I PM'd them about the second book. They then reprinted the wrapper (yes, same postage and DC label) and mailed me Book #2.

Not legal.

So, watch out for that. I ended up not reporting it, after thinking it over .... but I am willing to believe that this member might be doing it again and again. (They were a long time member, I don't believe that they have never had a two book order before, but I am willing to believe that possibly it was an accident.)

Sarah,   When looking at your transaction archive list, on the far right click on  "request details" (blue letters). That should help.  I also am waiting for the second book of a two book order. I did not mark the order received yet, and I'm starting to worry.  The member used PBS-DC so already received credits.  She PMed me having realized the mistake, but I haven't seen the second book yet.  After having had multibook orders shipped separately I occasionally will PM the sender suggesting they can save on postage by shipping books together.  I check to see if they are a new member first.  I am also one who checks out the bookshelf in hopes of saving the sender $ by ordering more than one book.

When I sort the Transaction Archive for books requested by me (aka these 5) they don't show up. I can only the see the correctly completed transactions from last week. It's like these books are in info limbo!

You can get to the details of incomplete transactions by going to "Credit Registry" and then clicking on "Transaction Details" for whichever book is in question.

You can also click on the "Details" button on the book request as is is listed in the "Books En Route" tab on your account page. (far right of the book request blurb)

When I order more than one book, I always shoot them a PM just to let them know.

I've done this 3 times and every time the person was really happy I did........sometimes people don't pick up on it real quickly that two books can go out in one package, esp. if they are not running a 2-for or 3-for deal.
