Received and read in the same day! Great quick read and awesome series. Have read every book and can't wait until the last one coming out this August.
Love this series ... this is the 3rd of 4!
Funny, sensual, fast-paced reading. All of the Royal Four books (and the Liar's club series) are great reading.
Bradley has recently become a favorite "read" of mine. I truly enjoyed the SPY series. I love the way the characters of the series interwine throughout her stories . . . definitely fun to read. This story, in particular, was full of pleasant, laughable characters from the heroine's past life.
Thank you for the recommendation of Celeste Bradley . . . whoever it was . . . I spent several enjoyable hours with her characters . . . laughing right outloud at some of the heroines' antics and falling in love with her heros.
great book :) book 3 in the royal 4
must read liar's club series along with royal four
Enjoy a fun romance with two very likeable people, a great book in the Royal Four series and a mystery to figure out as you go. I enjoyed this book quite a bit, as did my husband.
I will be so sad when this series ends. I enjoyed this one tremendously!
Not as good as the first in this series but definitely better than the second. Enjoyable characters but the plot is a bit thin. Very nice romance.
Very interesting book, I could not put it down.
Another good addition to the series.
This is one in her series of the Royal Four. I thought the book was ok. The heroine didn't figure out what was going on for a good while and she was supposed to be very insightful and smart. However, the characters were interesting and the book is worth a quick read for escapism.
From Back Cover: For years, Lady Julia Barrowby has acted the part of an old man's ornamental bride, never revealing that she has secretly helped the ailing Lord Borrowby in his work with the Royal Four. Now that her husband has died, Julia believes his place in the Four is hers by right. But convincing the remaining members will not be easy, especially with Marcus Ramsay, Lord Dryden, distracting her at every turn. Somehow, the mysterious Marcus seems to see into her very soul, effortlessly satisfying all her secret, forbidden longings... Marcus stood next in line to be chosen for the Four, and he is not willing to be displaced by a woman, no matter how intriguing or beautiful she may be. Under orders to investigate Julia, Marcus discovers her diary, overflowing with years of loneliness and yearing. Fulfilling Julia's fantasies is the perfect way to get closer to her, but seducing this fascinating creature is fast becoming more than a means to an end--it is his soul's deepest desire...
Book 3 in the Royal Four series, this is the story of Julia Barrowby, who is determined to hold on to her position as the Fox, and Marcus, Lord Dryden, who is determined to take that position away from her.
Since the other members of the Royal Four, plus Marcus and Liverpool, are convinced that having a woman in their cadre would bring them (and Englad) to absolute ruin, Marcus heads to Derbyshire to woo/seduce Julia into giving up all her secrets.
Julia, meanwhile, is dealing with assaults on her hand (from numerous suitors), her heart (from Marcus), and her person and household (from the elusive Chimera). Secondary characters include members of a former traveling circus and, of course, the Liars.
Nobody is exactly who they seem - to the reader and/or the other characters - and there are some pretty good twists and turns within the plot. Definitely worth picking up!
