It's late autumn in the mountain town of Hillsboro and assistant mayor Connie Wilkes has her hands full. This book was wholesome reading, but my mind kept wandering off of the story line. Not sure why......not a bad book, just a little sluggish for me.

This was the first book written by this author that I read. Based on this book, I went ahead and read two more by this author. If you like reading about small towns and how they pull together you will enjoy this book.
