Just a warning that PO will return a book if it weighs over 13 ounces and was not taken into the PO.

My dh forgot and put a book in the mailbox, He didn't go into the PO. The book was returned to us. I pmed the requestor to let them know it will bw delayed because I have to go to PO to remail it .

Did it have stamps or electronic postage?  It's true that you must go into the PO if you're using stamps, but electronic postage is traceable and negates the need to go in.

I have the PO return a number of books to me with stamps as being over 13 oz...the only problem is that they never are over 13 oz because I always take those books over 13 oz. to the PO. A trick someone here on the forums mentioned is that now when I do mail a book with stamps, that, of course is under 13 oz, I write the wt. below the stamps and so far that has worked just fine.

I had one returned once that was only 11 oz.  So now when it's close to 13oz I write the weight of the book on the label. Not really large or anything but so far I haven't gotten another one back.

This has happened to me a few times when they are just under 13 oz, hate it.
