Okay, I have to ask.  Is it only me or is it completely annoying to anyone else when a para romance/erotica author is writing a great book, but insists on using the  "see you next tuesday" word?  Especially when the heroine is describing her own bodily functions.  I don't know about anyone else, but when I think about my nether regions, that is not the word that pops into my head.  Thoughts?

I don't like that word either LOL. If its used like once in a book, I can deal with it, but more than that it gets on my nerves.

That along w/ 'member' and some other words is the reason I hate most erotica.  Does anyone talk or think like that?  I'm certainly don't a prude..but geez...

*snickering at "nether regions"*

I personally find the "c" word offensive and not at all romantic or erotic.

Thank you urbandictionary.com

I have yet to stumble upon that one. I think it's only appropriate in pornos.

I'm also not a fan of the "rooster" word. I guess it's suppose to be a manly term but every time I read it I'm like "OMG".

So I'm not a fan of the one "c" word but I love the "rooster" word - LOL!

LOL, yeah, the "rooster" word I like for the most part, but even still I'm taken aback when it pops off the page  ;-)   The other, I can totally do without, just absolutely hate reading it.  It's not even one of those OMG, the "C" word female things, it's just indescribeable distaste.  (Tell us how ya really feel, huh?)

I guess it's just hard finding words that real people use.  I'd much rather here the c word than "shaft" or "throbbing member". And there are NO good words for a woman's nasty bits.

I also find the word offensive and neither romantic nor erotic.  I like the rooster word, much better than some of the options...a nickname for Richard is bad, and the one that rhymes with it is even worse.

enjoying this thread!    I loathe some of the euphamisms that some authors use (pleasure hole, member, etc...) and would rather see the rooster or the cat.  I am not offended by them and would rather be a little shocked then rofl over a ridiculous euphamism.

Meh, if some of the things described in the book don't offend me than the c word isn't going to offend me either. I'd rather read that than some of the terms the bodice-rippers use like love button and pleasure canal. I'll take raunchy over flowery any day.

HAHA, I guess I haven't had the pleasure of reading the right books...... "PLEASURE HOLE"  "PLEASURE CANAL" ?  I wouldn't be able to finish, because I would die of laughter.
