Hey all. I just picked up the first couple books in the series and I was wondering how they are?

I love the series as a whole, but some books are better than others.  The first few are my faves...but I still can't wait for the next to come out!  The ones that I didn't enjoy as much still expanded on the world building and the overall series, I just didn't connect as much with the main characters.

I agree with Heather. I really enjoy this series but there are some that I feel are better than others. Or maybe it's the characters, lol. Seems like some are easier to "feel" for or get attached to. I like her Guild Hunter series as well.

I started this series when it first came out and read the first two.  I liked them a bunch, but nothing so dramatic that I picked up book 3 until just recently.  THEN, within a week I had the entire rest of the series read...LOL  Dying for Kiss of Snow to come out.  I liked Play of Passion but found it a bit more boring than the rest of them.

I agree, you should move it to the top. It's a great series even though my ratings for them are all over the board. And Nalini Singh is one of the nicest authors ever. I really like her.

I LUV them!  Some parts are so sexy, I feel like I need a cigarette after reading (LOL!!) !!

The characters are very well developed and I was immediately drawn into the  story of each book.  I'm just waiting to get my hands on the next one.

The firs book I loved it but the second is so blah to me. I think I read only half of the second book but seeing this post makes want to go back and read rest of the series!

I love, love this series. UNTIL I stopped being able to connect with the main characters. I'm trying to get back into the series but it's hard because you don't want to read another one you don't like because that spoils every future book...

I actually started with book 4.  Loved it and read the rest.  I still haven't read 1-3, though 3 is on my wish list.

It feels like some of the books are more about advancing the overall story then the story of the individual characters.  So some were more fun than others.

These books are not even usually of a genre that I really read much of, and I read 'well' across many.

Fantastic books, and I am always, thus far, looking forward to the next one due to be coming out !
