I think the person isn't going to mail. All that pops up is the following:

5/8/2015 10:02 PM - Electronic Shipping Info Received

Several times these things have happened and I have to wait a month to go back on the WL line. Is there a way to do that now? Or do I just have to wait until it goes lost?

Thanks so much!

Michelle, did the sender click "mailed"?

You cannot cancel after they click "print".  There's no option to cancel from your account right?

There's a book on it's way to me.  There's no option for me to cancel.  The only options I have are:

If this book has arrived, choose an option below:

In good condition

It's totally possible that they've mailed it. I would just wait.

It's been marked mailed.

Thanks for the help!

Val, remember if you 'cancel' you lose your place on the WL and have to add it back in and take the last place in line.

By letting the system work you will go back to being #1 if this swap goes south and no book arrives.

If the book has been marked mailed, then the only way to cancel the transaction is for the sender to write in to feedback with a message that says something like "I did not actually mail this book, please cancel this transaction."

Jeanne,  that's right!

I don't want to cancel. I'm super excited about getting this book in a series!  I have been in line for a year and it's finally making it's way to me.  It was looking like I would get the last book first but now it has righted itself.

Now the 18th and no update. I have a feeling it will go lost eventually because I think it wasn't mailed. I wish there was a better way to get back on the WL faster but I don't know how so I can't make that suggestion.

Nope Valerie.. Not the point Caviglia..it ties up a credit for a long time and the book is offered to others in the meantime. Sure I get back in line but tying up a credit for over a month, then waiting again in line is just not right. Plus some of us are credit poor and if there's no intention to send the book, the right thing is to make sure the other person's credit isn't tied up.

Yes it ties up a credit but the worst part to me is being off the wishlist line.  If a book is posted before you go back on the wl, you miss out!

Michele - have you PM'ed the sender and asked? If the book wasn't mailed, she can ask the team to cancel the transaction. Otherwise, there's really no way to know. I've had books that I mailed exactly when I said I did, but they weren't scanned until 10 days later.

I can PM. I just wait about 1 week before the lost date. In the past, it just never came. Thanks!

Michelle, I have received countless books sent with tracking that were never scanned at all until they hit my post office. They have gone from "electronic shipping info received" to "out for delivery" a week or so later with nothing in between. I would guess that's what is happening to you. Yes, occasionally the book never arrives but usually it does. The PO is not scanning books, or the info isn't being reported, like they used to in many cases. Personally I would not PM the person until just before going lost. I've gotten those "did you really mail my book" PMs before which I find frustrating and annoying...Once I mail the book I have no control over what the PO does or doesn't do.

Well, I really messed up, I accidentally marked it received when it hasn't come (stupid I know) so now I think I just lost the credit with no recourse.

Sally, I agree onthe whole, but I have had this happen where I don't get the book and no communication saying what you're saying (hey I mailed it , the PO lost it )..if you  get absolutely nothing, you can't say for certainty what happened. However , I would think if it was lost by the PO, the sender would actually PM. I don't know, maybe not.

Either way, moot now, I messed up big time.
