I think this book is an excellent weapon in our arsenal of housecleaning supplies. I have read through it but find myself going back continually to look up something or see what the author says about a particular part of housekeeping. I've used several of her suggestions with great results. Her information is practical and not so out of this world that the average homemaker can't try out her ideas. I've encountered some books that recommend such outrageous "organic" ideas that I just toss the book, but this isn't the case here. I highly recommend this book to any homemaker that wants to make her home a little more natural and organic.

A NEW SELECTION FOR BOOK CLUBS: One Spirit, Literary Guild, Doubleday, et cetera.

Longing for a book that covers it all, A-Z? Tired of using the same chemicals upon your face that you use for brake fluid and antifreeze?
What? You didn't know? j

Well, then. This is definitely your reference book! Cleaning agents and personal care products for the average American home contain not only some very dangerous, toxic chemicals, but they also create an overly clean, chemically bombed-out house that compromises immune systems of the human body.

This book will help you weed out, sort through your "stuff" and to organize your stuff and know where everything is. This book will cover organic gardening and pest control techniques and how to maintain every part of your home using safe, simple cleansers and quick preventative measures as well as the most effective organic products on the market to get the job done.
