This book was not about the main character but was about one of her ancestors who started the dark wave.

This wasn't as good as the others, although it does give you the background on the dark wave.

Tells Morgan and Hunter how the dark wave began. Took me a little while to get into, but very good. Not much of Morgan and Hunter, mostly "Origins".

I was not so thrilled with this one. It is the story of Rose MacEwan, an ancestor of Morgan's father. It was basically a coming of age story told in the first person point of view. Rose felt that her high-priestess mother was envious of her powers and was holding her back. When she fell in love with a boy from another clan and was betrayed, she turned to dark magick. This book tells of the origins of the dark wave that has decimated various clans through the years. I found it rather childish (for a 17 year old girl) and had to force myself to finish. Definitely not my favorite of the series.
