A member requested 2 books from me. After the request was made I realized I had listed the book incorrectly as a hardback instead of a paperback. I know this is important to some people so I didn't want to just send it without verifying it was ok first. I wasn't sure how to contact the member and ended up deleting the request in order to try and correct the listing. I finally figured out the way to pm the member and she said she didn't mind that it was paperback. So I explained I deleted her request and asked her to re-request so I would get credit. I asked her twice, and still sent both books in good faith. Today she showed one received but never re-requested the other, so basicially did I just lose the credit or is there a way to fix this?

You can ask her to "buddy" a credit for the second book.

Personally I would probably let it go.

If you canceled the request for a hardcover, and other members also had it available, the request was passed along to another sender. There's no email sent when this happens, so she may not have understood that the new request wasn't with you. If she marked both books received, she marked yours and the other member's received.

Alternatively, if she did cancel the hardcover request and request the paperback, she probably requested from the first member who had  posted it instead of from you.

This can be really confusing, especially for new members, and it's why I would not recommend sending any book without an actual request showing on your My Account page. Yes, I think you are probably out of luck on this one, especially if she ends up with two copies of the book.

Well no big loss, I just wasn't sure how to handle it. I sent it out knowing that there was a possibility that I wouldn't receive the credit. I didn't even think of her requesting it from someone else. Good point Cathy.

Well I guess I should have waited a bit longer before posting. The member just re-requested the book from me, so it looks like it will work out just fine.

That's great!  Go ahead and "print" the label (you don't need to use paper, just load the address on your screen) and mark it mailed, so she can mark it received.
