Very good about the parallel worlds. This is the fourth book in the Adept series!

Book 4 of the Apprentice Adept series. Again, it's been over a decade since I read it, but I have to admit in retrospect it's one of the better series I read from this author.

Anyone who enjoys SciFi needs to give Piers Anthony a try. He writes for all levels of readers. This book is one of a series that deals with modern science and magic. His heroes are usually a bit flawed which makes them lovable and more real. The magic is usually something you find yourself wishing for. In his Xanth series there are unbelievable puns and plays on words. He even credits his readers for their input on the ones he used.! Great fun to read.
