wonderful, quirky characters fill this book, which is rich in info about agribusiness/corporate greed, the dangers of our current food production methods, and the resulting consequences. despite the weighty topic, the author uses humor and lots of heart to get her tale across. a winner...good as her 'my year of meats'.
Very topical. Concerns genetically altered cropts, and sets the issue in a dramatic context of a family facing multiple difficulties.
