The illustrations in this picture book are high-gloss and almost animated in feeling. Each two page spread contains a number word in bold print within the text, and the same numeral is hidden within the supporting illustrations! The text is also very lyrical, and lends itself easily to song. There is actually sheet music in the very back of the picture book, as well as a detailed beginner-level glossary on each of the insects highlighted in the book.
