I've liked most of Castillo's books but this one, for me, was slow. I don't like romance filled stories and this is borders on that but it has a pretty good story to it, overall I thought it was just a little too slow and very predictable, I don't think an angry cop will stay on any force for long without psychological help and then there is the laid back cowboy sheriff that has a great daughter and an ex-wife that comes back wanting back in his life---yada yada yada-----this song has been sung many times before.
