I've done a search and still can't find the answer to my question.  I received a WL pb from another member and I was quite happy with it,  The book is old, but in good condition.  It did have a price tag on cover and someone tried to remove it - which left  a thin layer of paper behind.  This was fine by me - I waited a long time to get it.  But I wanted to be sure that it falls into the guidelines as postable.  I checked the help documents and don't see a thing about price tags or remainders of price tags.  I'd rather not try to remove it myself.  If it's ok, I'd prefer to leave it  the way I got it.  Anyone know?

It is postable.  Many books from bookcrossing will have labels and tags on the cover, inside cover and such and that is ok too.  If you want to try you can use googone, but you have to determine if it will ruin the book cover.  I use a different product that is a pen form and removes adhesive w/o any damage.  Personally I never used googone, but many members recommend the product.

Goo Gone is great, but depending on the type of paper used on the cover of that old book, it may or may not be appropriate. Goo Gone works on the glossy type paper covers, but if the paper cover is rougher or looks like the type of paper that will absorb liquid instead of repelling it, I wouldn't try it out.

Anyway, I think the book is postable as is. Stickers are fine on books, so there is no need to remove them before sending. Sometimes a bad removal can render a book unpostable, that would have been OK with the stickers.

Thanks all.  I just wanted to be sure.
