I packaged some books to mail today and I used pbs DC like I always do. However today when I marked one of the 4 mailed before I had even left to go to the postoffice It automatically gave me a credit. I was so shocked I looked at the details and there was nothing so then I looked at the map and check out what it had: http://www.paperbackswap.com/map/index.php?t=dc&r=d2VrZ3I5b043eTg9 I don't know what to make of this I've sent a lot of books with DC and never seen this happen. How am I supposed to know where the book is????? I'm not sure if I could do anything about this should I ask about the map or just leave it? Its so wierd I'm not sure if the map is just messed up or if this dc has been used on other things and was a mistake. What does everyone else think? ETA: It got weirder I looked at my emails and it says "Great news from the PaperbackSwap Librarian! The book 'Crave (Fallen Angels, Bk 2)' by J. R. Ward you mailed with Printable Postage has earned you 1 credit." Well I only used the DC not printable postage. Also when I go to my money register it has this :
It doesn't even say the book but it did only charge me for the DC???????? Last Edited on: 11/20/10 12:26 AM ET - Total times edited: 4 |

Ok, that one is puzzling, I have to admit. The only people are are going to be able to look at that for your are the Team, of course, so you might want to send feedback on that one. That's some Map, though, I wonder what happend.... |

When I attempted to log in earlier today, there was a PBS screen that said 'site closed for temp. maintenance' . . . maybe they are still de-bugging some new features? Sometimes we notice oddities while the programer peeps iron out all the wrinkles. You might check later tonight or in the morning, then if your data still doesn't look right check in with TPTB. |

I checked back today and its still the same. I informed the person I sent it to that there was a problem. I also sent a message to the team asking them to look at it. So i guess there is nothing else I can do except hope it gets there and see what happens. I think the map is something else though. |

The map is best considered entertainment, not an accurate representation enroute packages. Check under the 'details' button for the best information. If the systems thinks you used Printable Postage, but you used e-DC and other postage then yes, you should contact TPTB to correct the error. ETA - my PBS connection is uber slow today. Earlier the site was offline for maintenance. Anyone know what's up? Last Edited on: 11/20/10 2:36 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

The Details button is acting like it would if I hadn't used DC there is no box for scan details. I personaly watched it being scanned at the postoffice so I know it was scaned at least once. Oh well since I already emailed pbs and no one else has had this happen I guess I'll just have to watch and see what happens. Thanks to everyone |

i clicked on some of the little gray buttons and some scans were from 2008 perhapps these are the footprints. A new feature? |

If you click the little origin dot, it says its scan is from 1999. That poor book must be completely exhausted, travelling cross-country for over a decade! |
