Everytime I mail books they scan the PBS DC and I have the credit when I get back home. Today I took several they scanned i front of me at 9am here it is 3:30 and no credits yet. Anyone have problems with delays like this?

I usually don't have the credit until the next morning, so you're actually doing pretty well!

Ok 28 hours later still no credits, What is the longest it has taken for everyones credits to show up. I'm not even seeing that it has been scanned just the acceptance. Sorry to be a pest but this is the first time Ive had an issue scince I've joined. 14 books out and no credits worry me a little. Thanks Crystal

Have you taken the DC # and entered it over at www.usps.com?  If it brings up the accepted status through there, it may just be a communication error between USPS & PBS.

Hmmm... then if USPS.com isn't showing them scanned, PBS can't until they do.  If they scanned them in front of you then the unit must be having a communication issue.

I was (and am still) confused by something like this.  My little outpost PO does some kind of scanning, and I thought it was the DC scanning.  But when I asked the clerk she said that happened at the main PO.  So I don't know what she was scanning and I didn't get to ask because another customer was in line...which is very unusual but high pressure in a tiny 3-people limit PO. LOL!!   Maybe they have to do a scan to show a package of any sort has entered the PO but not the DC scan.  I don't know.  If anyone finds out let me know.

I finally got the credits last night and it shows it being scanned at the time I took it in. I guess the it was just a glitch in the system. I dropped off more books yesterday and credits were on my account for those a few hours later.

I get my credits as soon as I mark them mailed.  I show three for today that I marked mailed as soon as the postman took them from my mailbox.  I'm sure they're not scanned in anywhere, but I double checked the credit registry, and there they are..

Yes sharon if you do PBS postage too, this time I did DC only so it has to be scanned in the system before credits are given.
