How does the shipping work here? Is it media mail+the price of the book or is there a packing&handling fee?

Aside from the 50 cent processing fee that PBS charges per transaction, there is additonal shipping. I ordered 3 or 4 books at once and the shipping came to about $5.

I think they charge a flat amount for the 1st item and then a lower additional amount for each item added.

Shipping is too high for a single book, so you are better off getting several.

I have ordered from PBS market and you definitely need to order more than one book to make it a good deal. My order came quickly though.
