Has anyone bought a book they really wanted and couldn't wait for their turn on the wl?  I did ... On May 27th I bought a book ... to this date, it still has not been mailed ... The message I got says the book will be mailed 7 to 10 business days after transaction is complete, which it was.  Is this normal?

Thanks

Unfortunately, quite a few of my Live Help questions are about the Market books and the shipping delays.  Please go to your My Account page.  Up in the banner is Receipts.  You can find out the details on the order there.

There is more than one company.  It might well be that one of the companies is making a bad name for the others.

The contact email is market@paperbackswap.com

The info page seems to indicate that the Overstock is sent faster than the "Super Sellers".

The Overstock books are shipped within 5 business days and you should get them within 10 days of the shipment.  The Super Seller books can take a bit longer - maybe 14 business days from the time you order them.

Yes it can take the full 7-10 business days for the books to be mailed, I really isn't something for books you want really, really fast. They are warehoused, it isn't like Amazon where someone is packing books 24/7.  I am guessing you are right at your 10 days now since you ordered on a Sunday before a holiday, the transaction was probably not completed until that Tues. I would have expected it to ship today. You can contact market@paperbackswap.com and ask them about the order.

Thanks, I did look at the transaction or receipt if you will and this is how I knew it has not been shipped.  I totally forgot the holiday we just had!   LOL

10 business days from your date of order would have been the 11th, I think.  So, it's not really been that long.  In my experience, it takes about 3 weeks from ordering to get your order in.  If you want it fast, it's not the way to go.  Some of the packaging is not up to par in my opinion, either, but the few damaged books I know people have received have been replaced with no problems, so at least the customer service seems good.

My one and only experience so far with the PBS Market was exceptional apparently. I had the book in hand within a week and in fact, had the book before I received the email telling me it had shipped. smiley

I did not take into account the holiday, as stated before plus the weekend ... *hanging my head* ... but at least it did ship today!  It wasn't a book I had to have now, but rather a book that is first in Amanda Ashley's new series that I bought the book 2&3 at the store without realizing I overlooked the first .. geeze .. lol  But thanks everyone for your input ...

May Media Mail be kind to your order and have it arrive quickly.
