Hi,
Could you help me understand how to use PBS money in the kiosk? Is there a good discussion somewhere about that. I will put my WL on hold b/c I am out of credits, until my books get credited to me that I have sent recently. I bought some PBS money to get me by until then, but am unclear how to go about doing that. Thank you.

PBS money was originally used for buying postage or PBS delivery confirmation when printing address wrappers.  It's still used for that, but it can now also be used to buy anything in the Kiosk (including credits) or in the PBS Market.  The best place to buy PBS money is in the Kiosk (located on the gray menu bar at top of page.)  There's a 50 cent fee each time we purchase PBS money to offset the fees the site pays PayPal to process PayPal and credit card transactions.  Because of the fee, it's better to buy a larger chunk of PBS money, paying the 50 cent fee once, then to buy small chunks of money, paying the fee each time.

You can also totally bypass PBS money & the kiosk and buy credits directly from other members. Look in the Book Bazaar forum for posts, credits there are much cheaper then in the kiosk (currently around $2 each). The agreed upon method of payment is usually paypal, sometimes Amazon gift cards.

Prices for credits in the kiosk are currently

$3.95 / Credit (1,2)
$3.79 / Credit (3+)

I still do not understand how to use credits from the Kiosk. I have $10.00 in my PBS $$, and am not clear how to use it for credits. I see the credit prices above as quite expensive, and will pursue buying from others. How do you receive and transfer credits? Or use the PBS money to convert to credits? Is there a tutorial on this somewhere? Thank you.

Near the top of nearly every PBS page there is a grey "Help Center" tab, following that gets you to help dos that may resolve soem of your questions.

To use PBS money to purchase credits, click on the grey Kiosk tab near to top of the page. Follow the purchase through, and the credits will appear in your account. You then request books using these credits.

If you want to purchase from another member, click on the grey Community tab on the top of the page - then Discussion Forums. Form there, click on Book Bazaar - read the threads there until you pick who you'd like to purchase credits from. Contact them via PM to arrange payment etc. Once they have received payment, they will transfer the credits  (from their account) to your account. You will be able to see when the number of your credits has increased, also you can look at the grey Your Account tab, to Transaction Archive, then Credit Registry to see the actual transfer details.

Hope that helps clarify things - if not, keep asking :-)

To buy credits from PBS Kiosk, you would add them into your cart and when you are ready to purchase either pay with Paypal, credit card or your PBS money.

Some members sell credits in the book bazaar forum. Usually you send money to that member's Paypal account or buy them an Amazon gift card or whatever other exchange they want. Then once the money is transferred, they will add the credits to your account

I think you can buy market place books with kiosk money too. That's what I intend to do eventually with what little money I have left over.

If you click on "kiosk" then "go shopping" you can see the different things they sell. Coffee cups, book marks etc. You are better off buying books from PBS than credits, as mentioned they can be found half price in other places.
