Hi All,

I am thinking of using a bunch of my credits to order 10-15 books directly from PBS.  Has anyone else ordered from them (any amount) and how is the shipping time?  Do you think they would ship the whole order at once?

You mean the PBS Market? I haven't yet.

I ordered a few books. Shipping was sort of slow (took about 12 days total, I believe) and slightly expensive. My order wasn't very large, but all the books were shipped together.

They do combine shipping in the PBS Market, which reduces the final shipping cost.  I'm not sure this is true for every order, but it seems like shipping charges are generally in this range:  $3.45 for the first one and 0.99 for each additional book.

I have ordered, and used credits to off set the pricing. Mine came within a week, and with the multiple book order, shipping was fairly priced. I ordered 3 books at the same time and the shipping came to $5.43.

That still seems like a lot for shipping. I know when I place an order at another discount book site (I suppose now that PBS is in the book-selling biz, we can't mention competition's names!) I have ordered in recent weeks a box of 5 books and shipping was $4.25, and a box of seven books was $6.15. These were all hardcover or heavier trade paperbacks and a couple of the hardcovers were huge cookbooks. Last year sometime I know I ordered at least a dozen books and shipping was something like $8 and change.

I haven't ordered from the PBS market mostly because they rarely have what's on my wishlist or reminder list. The most I've seen is 2 books at a time and I would want it to be more than that so shipping wouldn't be so high.

I have ordered using credits on a multiple order, books came in about 1-1/2 weeks and they were perfect.  I purchased 3 books, the shipping was $5.43 and it consisted of 1 hard cover and 2 trade paperbacks.

I ordered two books so far and used my credits. The books came quickly in about a week. I think they are shipped from Georgia and I'm in North Carolina so that could have something to do with it. My books arrived in a water resitant bubble mailer.

I just received my first  two books i ordered from PBS Market. I got them in a week+.  I didn't pay attention so much to the shipping, but i really liked using credits to reduced the price. Funny thing was I had forgotten I had ordered them and though the package was the book i had coming from someone hee....I opened it and though she sent 2 books....how nice...then I opened the packing slip..oh, that is right I got books from PBS MARKET>>>COOL!
