I sincerely apologize first of all, have no clue why this is in italics! :( I did earlier come and edit to say delete as I thought the issue was resolved. It's not. I have been enjoying so much rereading PM's, some from over 2 years ago when I first signed up! Lots of good memories and reminders of how blessed I am God led me here to PBS. I do have over 2000 PM's. There are a bunch I no longer need to save (example instructions/rules for Christmas card swaps long over, nothing personal on that). I am to pare down so it will be easier to focus on rereading more personal messages. I went through over 1000 PM's and deleted ones I no longer needed. I just refreshed the PM page after reading a current message and it went right back to showing all 2000+ PM's.

Is there a way to permanently delete PM's in "messages from me?"

Thank you! I do apologize again for this mix-up.

There are 3 steps to deleting PMs:

-Check the box for the ones you want to delete

-Click on the "Delete" box

-When the confirmation box pops up, click "OK"

Deleted PMs should not pop up again after logging out and back in, or after refreshing your PM page. This must be especially frustrating after spending a significant amount of time going through and deleting 1000+ PMs.

If you are certain you deleted the PMs correctly and they reappear in your PM list, then you should send feedback to the team (via Contact Us) with enough detail to identify the problem and why you think the deletion process isn't working correctly. If so, I'd be interested in reading the Team's reply if you post it here.

Thank you both. I checked right now and those PM's are no longer showing. Maybe the system just needed time to update.

Could be, or your browser could have been showing you a cached image of the Personal Message page, rather than an updated view. Glad it's worked out now.
