I have someone who requested a book from me. As per the rules, I pm'd them and said it was an ex-library book that has stamps and stickers, and asked if they still wanted it.  I have not heard back from them yet and the deadline for shipping is coming up soon.  What should I do?

Hi Jennifer; welcome to PBS.  ex-library books are ok to post. You do not have to PM the requester about it, so just mail it out.

This is from the Help Center:

Ex-library books:  Yes
  • Ex-library books often have stamps inside or on the binding: this is fine.   If you receive an ex-library book that is not clearly marked "withdrawn" (not all libraries do this), you should contact the library to ask them if this book is still part of their collection.

If they didn't have any conditions and the book meets PBS guidelines then send it out. If they were concerned about it they should specify no ex-library books and should have responded to your PM.

Unless their conditions state no ex-library books then you should just send the book.  If they have conditions, and that is one of them, then decline or cancel, because you will not get a credit that way.
