Question PBS's....................

I recieved a book today that is an x-library copy....which is fine the sender let me know that ahead of time.  HOWEVER, there is a picture section in the center of the book and all of these pages have been taped back into the book....and not even nicely/neatly at that.  It was so obvious that something was wrong with this book when I opened the shipping wrapping because these pages stick out weirdly. You can clearly see the scotch tape down the seam on multiple pages and you can't fully open the book to look at the pages because of the tapes.

Is this an acceptable book to post on this site??? Just want to make sure before I RWAP.......I wish the sender had thought to mention this to me when they nicely took the time to let me know it was an old library book.  Sadly there are no other copies of this particular book available so my daughter will just hve to be extra careful as she reads it.

No, all pages must be firmly attached to the binding. Definitely a RWAP.

I would RWAP as the pages aren't secure.  It must be secured the "original" way.  Not with tape.  Good luck.

Thanks...I just RWAP'd it.................not only are the pages taped but you can clearly see where they aren't even attached to the  spine/binding.

I've seen that happen several times, it seems to be a really weak area in the binding of these books. Definitely unpostable.

i had a sender "warn" me about a library book.  I said a library book was fine.  Didn't know she thought library book was code for unpostable.....  there were stains on many margins and about half of one page.  I think I will now worry if someone ever sends me that kind of pm again.

I RWAP'd it with a note explain the issues/concerns................the sender refunded my credit back within minutes with a sincere apology. Works for me.

Yay Tammie, love a happy ending!

BTW - tape cannot make a book postable.
