My mouth waters every time I see your avatar!

I love blueberries and my kids and I have been blueberry picking twice this summer :-)

Me too, Sheila! I adore them.  When I was younger, I spent some summers up on Long Island with a friend's family, and we went to pick them but they called them 'huckleberries'---anybody know the difference between huckleberries and blueberries? Is there any?

Oh thank you very much, what a lovely delight to be paged! I love blueberries, and especially this time of year!  I always have the best plans of freezing bags and bags full, but usually end up eating them all by the end of September!

My birthday is at the end of this month, which is firmly in blueberry season, so I usually request a blueberry pie for dessert!

Thank you! And, no, I don't know the difference between blueberries and huckleberries. Hum.

The blueberries I pick grow on large bushes, many taller than I am. When we go up north, we can pick "wild" blueberries on very small plants (not really a bush), low to the ground. The huckleberry/blueberry name might also be regional.

Mimi, I've managed to freeze 3 quarts of blueberries for winter snacking :-)

Hope you have a blueberrilicious (I've been reading Strawberry Shortcakes books to my youngest DD) birthday!!
