I read the book before the movie and enjoyed both. However there's nothing like the book to let your imagination form pictures that will make you turn the pages quickly, wondering what will happen next! Lots of suspense and well-written.
When recent divorcee Meg Altman and her ten-year-old daughter, Sarah, move to New York City to start fresh, they buy the former Upper West Side home of an eccentric millionaire.
