The Paper Grail was my introduction to Blaylock. I found his oddball modern day spin on the Grail myth constantly entertaining. It's full of unusual and vividly drawn characters both good and bad; one or two of the latter sort even experience a kind of redemption as well.

I love the area of California where the book is set--the North Coast: Mendocino, Ft. Bragg, and environs. Some of the most beautiful coastline in the country.
