i was just looking through my e-mail box and realized that i have thousands of e-mails from paperback.  so i thought i would ask. do you keep or delete the e-mails that paperbackswap sends you? how long do you keep them? just a curious question.

I delete them. Most of the information can be found under the club communication or transaction archive. I see no need to save them.

I delete them.

Actually, I have them all auto-sent to an email folder so I never even see them in the first place then every few months I just empty the folder.

Once I've received the books I delete them. After reading I delete my daily digest, the newsletter, PM notices, etc.

I delete most emails. I keep a few, but it would be too much to keep them all.

I put them all in a folder on my desktop. I have a rule set up moving them automatically. And then ignore them.

The Club Communications folder has a limit. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe six months? I know we are told to recommend folks to make sure any PMs about problems and credit refunds are sent from within the Book Order Details so the PM will be archived.

The newsletters are kept on site in an archive. No need to save them.

Please be very careful to delete messages, not mark them as Spam or Junk.

After I read the message, it gets moved into another folder for "read" messages. So they are sort of saved although I don't bother looking at them again.

Club Communications are only kept for 30 days -- I generally copy any messages I send via Contact Us until I've had a response.  They've (PBS) been really good lately about answering within a day or two, but in years past, messages were lost...

I'm referring to problems I've had with particular listings, etc., not the notes we send letting them know that things still aren't working correctly or what I'm experiencing with system problems like the current problems with search....

I am having an issue now that if I had emails from 6 months to 3 years ago would help support my side of things but sadly I didn't  keep anything from them that long. ( -- not things that are recorded in our transactions)

I delete anything but requests as soon as I read it.  I delete requests as soon as I ship.
