I recently listed and moved a large amount of craft books. This prompted a lot of "craft talk" with other members. A few of us have decided to start a small papercraft/card swapping group. We only have a few of us and would like a few more crafters to join us. Online paper craft swapping is a lot of fun.  If you are interested we would love to have you... If you are not familiar with online craft swapping I would be happy to explain what it is all about, just let me know. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon!    ~Sherry  (sherry1967)

Yvonne told me I should join (she really is a very effective recruiter), so I'm in, if you'll have me!

Robin, Eileen and Kim,

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to check this forum to find that their were 3 people that posted interest in the group! Since I am a little late getting here to reply, I will reply to each of you individually through a PM.  We were shooting for a total of 8 swappers before we were going to "officially" start swapping.  Add the 3 ladies to the woman that have already signed up, and guess what you got:?  That's right.. We Have Ourselves A  Swap Group!

I do want to say that just because we hit our magic number, that was just a minimum goal and we would be happy to have a few more crafters to swap with.

I feel like I should also say that this group is a Papercraft Swap Group. I did not want to limit ourselves to just cards or anything else for that matter. There are to many great papercraft projects out there to be strapped to one thing all the time... You have Tags, Journals, ATC's, Inchies, Cards, Postcards,  Pre-Made Scrapbook Page(s), Scrapbook Page kits, Card Making Kits, One of my new favorites- Card Candy,  Gift Wrap Sets, Stationary, I could go on and on... People also swap Rubber Stamps, Ribbon, Grab Bags worth x amount...

Well, I have rattled on long enough... Thank you ladies.  I will be sending each one of you a PM shortly.

~Sherry

Hi Sherry,

Please pm me the details as well. And Yvonne told me about it too. I'm suppose to be on 7 to 10 days of bedrest, but curious of what you are swapping and if I can handle it or not. Hubby had to send a book out for me.Which I said my books were on vacation and they weren't. BAD BAD ME!

I'll wait to hear from you. Don't be surprised if I don't answer right away. Its very hard to walk. : (

Esperanza  "my new name given to me by Yvonne as it translates " Hope" and  that is my middle name. : ) I just love that woman!!!

If yall will give me time to re-coop i'll swap with yall so much you'll hate to see me..JK. I love the swaps, but doing gift swaps is more my thing and do not do any elephant or book swaps.

Cyndi~

I just have one thing to say.... we would love to have you! You are a talented woman. I am sure you are very proud of your work. Just looking at your picture makes me want to run to your bookshelf and find something... anything to order so that I can get a bookmark! I am so sorry you are having health issues. There is no reason why you cant be a part of the group and when you are ready to swap you can swap. I will PM you tomorrow afternoon with the details. I agree with you, in the little time that i have been communicating with Yvonne I get a good feeling from her and am so grateful that she has decided to be a part of the swap group. Talk with you tomorrow afternoon!

I would love to swap as well. I have been doing quilling for 35 years. Most of my work is large pictures, but also do cards and ornaments. Please add me to the group. You can see my loon in my heading. I would add pictures here, but I haven't figured out how.

thanks. Sandy

Its me checking in. I have a whole list of gals ready to start swapping! The list that I generated just from the craft books i have sent out is wild... And oh so exciting. I need to get everyone in one spot now...hmm. I do believe right here would be good, until we can get a place of our own.  Any suggestions would be welcome. When to start?  Would like to get the first posted swap up by this monday...

Thanks~ Sherry

P.S. Sandy~ Always wanted to learn how to quill, have the kit, now need the patience!

I'm still waiting for my pm and thank you Sherry for the nice compliment about my craft talent. I make so many different things.

bookmarks...personalized or not. depends on what the person wants

silver tool markers..can put your name on that too.

bookthongs..can put name on that too.

night light toppers- many colors of tri beads to choose from and you can have lots of different colors if you don't want one plain color.

dish soap bottle aprons

tote bags--can personalize these too.

book covers with a quilted stitched pattern in the middle..would show on front of bookcover when put on book.

keychains, but out of material I use for them right now. Not able to shop YET!! bummer....

handmade cards with envelopes .

decorate small  plain color watering cans

just to much to list, but can be seen on my flickr account..

waiting for that PM....

PS...I also sell Sterling Silver rings and bracelets and necklaces, cuffs or bangles that slide on the arm and have space to take it off, also have them where they hook. or just slide on over the hand, have charms and pendants as well...EVERYTHING IS REAL AND MOST STONES ARE GENUINE STONES DEPENDING ON WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT..HAVE PLENTY OF BEAUTIFUL REAL STONES FOR THAT SPECIAL PERSONS B-DAY..MENS AND WOMENS JEWELRY..RINGS AND NECKLACES AND BRACELETS FOR MEN AND WOMEN AND HAVE SOME CHILDRENS JEWELRY TOO.

Feel free to check out my stuff..I sell my sterling silver jewelry really really cheap..I have TONS of it, thats why its SOOOOO CHEAP...Every piece is stamped inside with either Sterling- 925- texaco- italy -mexico or the makers brand that they stamp their jewelry with, but it would still have the 925 or sterling on the clasp of whatever piece your looking at. I have earrrings too. Ed my hubby is in the process of setting me up on E-Bay, but will sell to my swap buddies cheaper..Its cheap enough on EBay as it is..

I have posted a card swap, titled "Card Swap for the Papercraft Swap Group"  in the community forum of PBS. It is in the crafting section. Same as this forum actually just a few subjects up. Sorry it has taken me so long to get started. I have been experimenting with different ways to get this started, but wanted everyone to be able to communicate amongst each other as well. It has been a lot of trial and error on my part. Blogs? Web Site? I am however bound and determined to get something together. I would like to be able to post pictures of our swaps, etc. The only problem I am running into is somewhere where we can communicate like you can in the forums here instead of just one on one. If anyone has any suggestions I am open! A lot of people showed interest in being a part of the group. I am going to take those who sign up and complete this first swap as those that wish to commit to the swapping group. Whoever has a burning idea for the next swap step up and lets get this going?. Looking forward to swapping with you!!!

Melissa~ the kinds of crafts that you do are right up our alley! The swaps are all going to be around papercrafts.. the same type of stuff you listed!

Hope to see everyone that is here, over there, up there, down, wherever it is in the lineup... lol!  Thank you for being so patient with me!!!!

Denise~

Glad to hear that you are going to join the group. Actually this was the first forum that I posted to generate interest in the group. The topic or title of this forum and the latest one that I posted along with instructions for the first swap are similar so I can see where you  would end up here. However, next I will have you go to the forum titled "Posted: Card Swap for the Papercraft Swap Group".  You can get there easily by simply going to the top of this page, click on crafting, then look for the forum that says "Posted: Card Swap for the Papercraft Swap Group" click on that and you are there.  After reading the posted swap if you have any questions let me know. Other than that I will be contacting you within a few days to link you to the new Yahoo! Group Site I am making just for the Swap Group we are starting,  going to be so cool!!!

~Sherry

P.S. Thanks so much for joining the group Denise.
