I want to read more books with a paranormal slant, but want to keep it "cozy" and like the addition of a mystery. I thought you would be the experts as this list as the most comprehensive wishlist available! But, I couldn't tell from it which ones were cozy.

I have the Nancy Atherton's "Aunt Dimity" series and am still working on it, Rebecca Kent's "High Marks for Murder", the Alice Kimberly "Haunted Bookshop" mysteries, and have the first Shirley Damsgaard on the way. I am also aware that Madelyn Alt's books would fit my description.

Any others you would recommend I try? I like the idea of a ghost, but, it could be anything paranormal, as long as its basically cozy.

Theres the Bewitching Mysteries by Madelyn Alt starting with The Trouble With Magic. Its about a woman who through the help of her new boss who is a witch learns to use her metaphysical abilities. Oh and the Abby Cooper Psychic Eye series by Victoria Laurie. ABbey Cooper is a profesional psychic and helps her boyfriend who is a cop solve cases. Both are series and both start off sort of slow in the first book but they do get around to the story. I just started the second in the Bewitching Mysteries so I dunno if they get better but Abbey Cooper does.

Victoria Laurie and her Abby Cooper "psychic eye"  series. Plus she has a new series that starts with What's a Ghoul to Do?  I know of tons others but I'm drawing a blank right now! lol

Yasmine Galenorn - that's another one I was trying to think of!

In all honesty though, I would not by any stretch of the means put Harris' Harper Connelly series in with cozies. They're great books and I'm anxiously awaiting the 4th but the criteria doesn't match that of a cozy - especially in the 3rd book with the sex.  They also get  "creepy," for lack of a better word, and cozies don't get creepy.

Like I said, I think Harper Connelly is her best character yet but it's not a cozy.

Angela - you'll like them. Harper Connelly and her "brother" (term used VERRRRy loosely. lol) is a great character. Like I said, I think it's her best so far.

Is it a cozy though. I mean its been a while since I read it but I remember there being some pretty graphicly violent parts in Grave Sight.

the Harper Connelly books are very good, but i wouldn't call them cozies either.  there's definitely more violent parts than i think would qualify for a cozy.

Chris - no, I wouldn't call it a cozy by any means or stretch of the mind like I said in my above post. The OP looking for cozy paranormals would be totally put off by the Harper Connelly character I think due to in part by it's subject nature, which I can't get into without giving away the plot. :)

But I think Angela, if she's not looking for cozies would like them. Many (not all) Charlaine Harris fans did really like the series. It's my favorite so far. I wish she'd hurry up with #4!

Thanks Susan. You are right. I can't handle anything violently graphic since I read before going to bed and I frighten easily. *blushes*. I could see where others would certainly enjoy the series though!

However, the "Ghost Dusters" books were an awesome idea, and I have wishlisted them! I really want to read the first one "Remains of the Dead". It sounded interesting, and I liked the plot. I am really glad I posed the question, even if thats the only series I find new to try.  Also interested in "Whats a Ghoul to Do?". Sounded fun.

Well, I'm glad I can help you with at least one new find :-)

And Susan, I'm sure I will like the Harper Connelly's!  I have them all on TBR and of course I like violence and erotic and all that graphic stuff...lmao :-)
