Hi!  Just looking for recommendations for paranormal erotica?  I am thinking of Jory Strong, Lora Leigh, Sherri L. King, Kate Douglas, etc... Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!

I am a Lora Leigh fan, lots of people don't like her work, but I do. Kate Douglas is what I would call pretty hard core. I haven't read the other two but have a bunch in my TBR.

I am a twit.

I wrote that ALL wrong!  What I meant was:  I have READ some of each of those authors and am looking for more like them, or I guess, any paranormal erotica authors in general.

Okay... Thanks for patience :)

I have quite a lot in my TBR, but haven't read yet. Kate Hill's centaur series looks good. Kaitlyn O'Connor has written some great books and some not so great ones. Diane Whiteside is supposed to be good. Jaid Black has some paranormal erotica also.

Hope this helps!

Anne

Diane,

I have a few Jory Strong books in my TBR.  Haven't read anything by her yet.  Do you like her writing?  Since all the books I have by her are Ellora's Cave books of course they will be heavy on the sex but is there a good storyline in her writing (or is that like asking is that porno gonna get an oscar nod for writing?)  I haven't read too many Ellora's Cave books but I've read a couple that were just totally ridiculous and a few others that I thought were decently written.  I'm hoping hers are good because I have 3 or 4.

Hi Debbie--

I have read "Skye's Trail" and have "Syndelle's Possession" on my TBR.  These are both part of "The Angelini" Series.  (vamp/ menage).

I really like her writing and thought Skye's Trail was good enough to want the series (Skye's Trail is book 1; Syndelle's Possession is book 2 and there is a 3rd I have wishlisted... "Mystic's Run").

Don't know much about her other series although from what I have read, "Ghostland" and "Spider Touched" both interest me.

Hope that Helps!

Diane

A Witch's Beauty The Vampire Queen's Servant , The Mark of the Vampire Queen, A Mermaid's Kiss  all by Joey Hill

Hunted , Outcast , Chosen (Book 3 of the Guardians' League)  all by Amelia Elias

Wicked Hot by Charlene Teglia

I'm sure that I could think of more.   I read alot of this stuff, and generally write reviews about what I read, if you're interested in looking.

Happy Reading,

 Betsy

I have heard really good things about Amelia Elias!  I bought her first book "Hunted" and have it in my TBR pile.  "Outcast" and "Chosen" I have on my w/l here and they DONT MOVE!!!  So either noone has them, or no one will part with them!

Joey Hill's books' descriptions didn't interest me as much but the Charlene Teglia book sounds good! I put that right on my w/l.  Your review of it was helpful, thank you.

I've only read Jory Strong's non-paranormal..the Crime Tells series and I liked those..the 4th is in my tbr as an ebook but the first 3 were pretty good..decent storyline and some hot sex. I have some of her paranormal in my tbr but haven't read them yet..

I like Shelly Laurenston for the humor..silly shapeshifters with some sex.

Doesn't Angela Knight write erotic paranormals? I know she wrote a book about 'how to write erotica.'

Angela Knight has a couple of different series.   Mageverse series, I don't care for.   I like her Futuristics better.  I love Jane's Warlord.  The first book of hers that I read.   I think she has another series The Time Hunters, or something like that.  I have one here that I haven't read yet.

Jane's Warlord is the first book of the Time Hunters Series, I believe.  It is followed by "TimeHunters:  Warrior" and "Time Hunters Guardian". Haven't read them yet... w/l and tbr.

Was thinking about what I wrote about Jory Strong earlier.  I do  like her writing, but I want to qualify that... it is good... for erotica. I doubt I would read an ordinary novel by her, though, because her writing is sorta stiff and I haven't been able to really get attached to any of her characters so far.  However, compared to some other erotica I have read, she is good.

Probably the best erotica I have read was "Ravenous" by Sherri L. King.  I would have read that even if it hadn't been erotica.  I liked her characters, plot, writing, etc... and found myself wishing I could find more authors/ books  like that.  But I haven't read much yet... hence this thread :)

I just read the short story by Angela Knight in Shifter. For a 69 page story it was well done, great world building, lots of action, good character development, and some good adult action too! It was a futuristic.

See, now that's interesting.  I read Ravenous by Sherri King, and didn't care for it at all.   When I tried her story in the Manaconda anthology, I couldn't finish it.   I did like "Fetish" by her, though.

I read Anya Bast's "Seasons" books from Ellora's  Cave.    I liked them.   Haven't read anything else by her.

I'd like to start the Mageverse Series by Angela Knight, but I dont know where to start. I know it has mixed reviews, but I'd like to decide for myself. Does anyone know what the first book in the series is called? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Maya Banks is another good author which I really enjoyed.  She has 2 books already out in her 'Falcon Mercenary' series - "Into the Mist" and "Into the Lair" thru Samhain Publishing which are paranormal stories involving shifters.

Carrie, fantasicfiction.com is usually fairly useful to figure out books in a series order.

here's what they have for the Mageverse series:

Mageverse

1. Seduction's Gift (2004) (in Hot Blooded)
2. Master of the Night (2004)
3. Galahad (2005) (in Bite)
4. Master of the Moon (2005)
5. Master of Wolves (2006)
6. Moon Dance (2007) (in Over the Moon)
7. Master of Swords (2006)
8. Master of Dragons (2007)
