Long overdue for a new thread, so I figure I'll start it up. Post away!

I just got Intertwined by Gena Showalter to review in the mail, it's YA but I'm a big fan of hers so I'm looking forward to it. I actually had to put down The Darkest Whisper because that came- man I LOVE the Lords of the Underworld series...

Started Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead today. First time trying this author and I'm enjoying the book so far. Has anyone here kept up with the series, is it worth buying the books new?

Intertwined is a great book. What's wrong with YA? I love it! :P I am halfway through Blue Bloods and I am liking it. It'd decent.

I'm in the middle of " Hunting Ground " by Patricia Briggs. This series is a good read but I still thing I enjoy the Mercy series more.

I'm getting read to ready Richelle Mead's second in the Dark Swan series ... the Thorn Queen. Very good series! Right now I'm reading Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill. Another good series that only has two books out so far (the second one just came out) and I"m eager for the rest of it to come out.

I just read Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning. I love the series but she's killing me with the cliffhangers!! :)

Next up is The Salem Witch Tryouts by Kelly McClymer.

I finished the Sookie stories, A Touch of Dead.  While I love Sookie and did want to book for my keeper shelf, it was disappointing how few stories there were and how many I have already read.   Am impatiently waiting for her new Grave book.

I read an ARC yesterday that comes out in November - Bitter Night: A Horngate Witches Book by Diana Pharaoh Francis

This is an EXCELLENT Urban Fantasy - great start to a new series!!!  I couldn't put it down yesterday so I'm running low on sleep today.  Two thumbs up from me.

About four chapters in to As The World Dies: Siege (Book 3) by Rhiannon Frater. This is THE best series I have read in I can't remember how long. My new favorites. Best Zombie books ever for me.

Started with Book 1 two or three nights ago, have stayed up far too late every night reading, these books just don't stop, the suspense is constant. Phew! Thinking I may start her other book "Pretty as she Dies" next. Think I found my #1 author!

Ugh.  I just can't handle zombies, lol.  Not in movies anyways, so not sure I could read about them either!  I'm a big chicken.

LOL Paula! I was the kid who begged my Nanny to watch Night of the Living Dead over and over and over again (I was five). I can thank her for my obsession with the creepy and the dead. :)

These books may not be your cup of tea then, because they are graphic. And sometimes horrifying. (Kids die, turn into zombies, etc) but I have to admit, of all books/movies ever seen/read by me in this genre, this one makes me really see this creepy, never going to happen scenario actually happening. Does that make sense? lol. This chick makes it seem real. She is just awesome. I think I have an author crush. In a non sexual way of course. LOL

God, Misty just STOP IT! You are really making me want to rush out and buy those books. I LOVE creepiness and most books can't get me in shivers. I love zombies and there just aren't enough books out there about them. And the books that are out there generally leave the kids alone. Seriously. Come on. The world is ending and the kids are all fine? Sure. Right. I believe that....

I am off to hunt for these books....Shh. Don't tell Brian!

Lmao Colleen. Sorry.

But you are right. These books hold nothing back. That is what makes it feel "real". Anyways, sending you PM with a link to chapter one preview. :)

I just finished Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill.  It was good in the beginning but then got a bit  boring towards the middle/end.  I did finish it and I do like the characters, but the story really slowed down.

I'm going to start either Jessica's Guide To Dating on the Dark Side or Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs, next.

I just got done reading As the World Dies: Siege (book 3) by Rhiannon Frater and I feel oddly.... empty? Sad?

These books are now my all time favorites, I feel like I was saying goodbye to friends closing that last book .. She is supposed to be coming out with a book of short stories, including more about these people, in 2010. I will be buying that one the day it comes out! She also mentions possibly writing another, about the people in these books, in the future. Oh I hope she does..

God I am so bummed over finishing these books! lol. Now I have NO idea what to read, seems like everything will pale in comparison to them for awhile!

Just finished The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter, book 3 in the Lords of the Underworld.  Starting The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter, in the Lords of the Underworld.  This is a good series.  But I enjoyed her Atlantis series better.

Book 4 is the best of the Underworld series, IMO.  I thought the first three were just ok.

I wish I could read book one, but I don't have ebook capability.  Which sucks.  But eventually she's supposed to have Darkest Fire and another book done in paperback, so I'll get it then.  She also has on ebook The Amazon's Curse (Zane & Nolas story) from the Atlantis series, and The Darkest Prison which is after The Darkest Whisper from the Lords of the Underworld.
