This is NOT a guidebook. This is NOT something that you would take with you to Paris to tell you where to stay and eat. Anyone who gets this book hoping it will tell them where to go and what to do is missing the point entirely. It is a piece of art, silly and irreverent, an intelligent loud joke that speaks to Francophiles and the merely curious. It contains the most outrageous guide to hotels that DO NOT EXIST and restaurants and clubs that AREN'T REAL. It is a joy to read and laugh over, is beautifully bound with fine, heavy paper and lovely illustrations.

If you want an actual guidebook, find something by Rick Steves. If you want an otherworldly experience that speaks French, go with this book.
