The only thing I can say is, if you want this book to study up on Quaker Parrots as pets, this is not the book for you. It has only a couple short pages with little helpful information.

This author is really set on the idea that everyone should be breeding their birds. Breeding any animal should only be done w/a lot of thought, planning, a knowing you have a place for those babies to go. Our pets should not need to "earn their keep". Also, some of the info is out dated...HOOKBILLS DO NOT NEED GRIT! This book is really only good for the pictures and some general info on the different types of parrotlets. If you are a beginner in birds, please read multiple books from multiple sources to get good all around information. Parrotlets should NOT be kept with ANY other type of bird (and this really can be said about most birds, but these guys think they are raptors!) and if you plan on having a pair, you will probably not be able to have a tame pet.
